MySportEvent through its events, Veikou Trail 21/1/2024, www.veikoutrail.gr, Lycabettus Run 25/2/2024 www.lycabettusrun.gr, and Paros Way June 2024 www.parosway.gr, plans tree planting and cleaning of forests and coasts in order to enhance the positive footprint of Greek forests and the natural environment.
All events will be carried out in cooperation with we4all.
The tree planting will be carried out in the appropriate tree planting periods, according to the necessary permits from the authorities and based on the studies and recommendations of we4all’s foresters and agronomists, while the tree species will be selected according to the biodiversity of each area.
Mr. Dimitris Thodis CEO of MySportEvent said: “We are trying to make Greece green again by planting appropriate trees in areas affected by natural disasters and within our cities, for a better quality of life for us and our children. For this reason and starting from the Veikou Trail event, with every participation we help We4all to plant a tree in Greece! Also to support this action we create a donation button on the sites of our races inviting the athletes who will participate to support this effort”.
Mr. John Iliopoulos, co-founder of we4all, said “We welcome MySportEvent to the “Environmental Alliance”, which consists of companies and institutions that support our Environmental and Social work. We thank both MySportEvent and all the athletes who through their donations and presence will help this cause.”
The actions of MysportEvent in collaboration with we4all do not stop at the tree planting. With the participation of its volunteers as well as athletes who register, they will undertake to clean up woodlands and beaches.
All actions are part of MySportEvent’s Social Responsibility program.
