Demanding tougher laws and penalties for arsons.
Together with you and through the AVAAZ platform, we raised our voice, asking the government to legislate stricter laws so that arsonists pay a heavier price of imprisonment and heavy fines, depending on the damage they ultimately cause, so that no one has the ability or the appetite to commit such crimes again.
Over 2.7 million views and thousands of signatures give us voice to demand change.
New Tree Planting season starts in Greece
Target is over 500.000 new trees this season in Greece. The areas will include Attica, North Evia, Ilia, Corinth and Thessaloniki among others.
2,000,000 trees in Canada and the United States of America.
With seeds collected from the same planting sites matching the genetics of the trees already growing in the we have reached the goal of planting 1,000,000 trees in Canada within the Summer. Our target until Summer of 24 is another million trees planted in the U.S.A.
300.000 trees in Uganda.
Along with the farmers of the Rwenzori mountains of Uganda and our team on the ground, we are planting over 300.000 trees this season in the country, providing work, food and medicinal substances for the people and communities.
Urban Forestry.
Understanding the urgent need to make our cities more sustainable and healthier to live in, we launched the we4all Urban Forestry Initiative with its sole aim to plant more trees in urban areas.
Missions to Cyprus with the Starbucks Foundation and Starbucks Cyprus
Already more than 800 children have participated in the specialized educational program for sustainability awareness “Green Future” during the school year 2022 – 2023 as a result of the partnership between the Starbucks Foundation and Starbucks Cyprus with we4all and now we are proceeding for the school year 2023 – 2024 A valuable partner in this project, both for the preparation and technical support of the we4all mission in Cyprus, is the Bank of Cyprus.
