The rainy season has officially arrived in Uganda’s Rwenzori region—and with it, the moment our local crew has spent the entire year preparing for.
Restoration is a long, deliberate journey. Over the past twelve months, our team on the ground has worked tirelessly through every stage of the process: carefully collecting and planting seeds, nurturing young sprouts in nursery pots, and tending to them daily until they were strong enough for the wild.
Now, as the rains soften the soil, the final phase begins.
Between now and December, our team will plant over 200,000 young trees across the region. This brief planting window is critical for giving each seedling the best possible start, allowing their root systems to establish naturally while the moisture lasts.
None of this would be possible without your incredible support and dedication to our mission. Every tree taking root in Rwenzori this season is a direct result of this community coming together.
We will be sharing live updates from the field throughout the planting season. Stay tuned to see the forest grow! 💚
