On Sunday 1/3, we welcomed Spring in the most beautiful way: An action that exceeded our expectations. Volunteers, friends, families and Climate Pact Ambassadors of the Greek community came together to make climate action a reality, planting indigenous trees and strengthening local biodiversity.
But we didn’t just stop at planting. Through discussion and education on the proper maintenance and care of trees, we highlighted the importance of nature-based solutions for protecting our regions. This day was living proof that cooperation between locals and the volunteer community is the basis for any sustainable change.This event took place within the framework of the European Climate Pact’s, European Climate Action Days campaign.
The participation and enthusiasm of the volunteers is the driving force behind every step we take and we thank them warmly for their dedication.
We are particularly proud that our action has received the official approval of the European Commission and is now featured on the Climate Pact portal as a model for climate action.
