Together with the wonderful people of DESFA we cleaned the beach “Karnagio” in Kato Lechonia of Pelion.
The area “Kato Lechonia” until today has not been fully cleaned after the catastrophic floods. There, we not only cleaned the beach from garbage carried away by the floods, but also from a lot of wood and other waste materials that made access to the beach impossible.
We collected a total of 15 bags of trash and several stacks of wood which will be collected by a special garbage truck, but community residents can also collect it and use it for fireplace tinder.
The spontaneous participation of people from the community was also touching, and they informed us that this was the first organized beach cleanup activity since the floods and to date.
