Over 300 employee volunteers from the bank along with the CEO Mr. Megalou, the President Mr. Chatzinikolaou and Group Chief HR Mr. Georgopoulos, gathered together for a Christmas tree planting to restore a very significant area of Penteli mountain: Karakanta Water Source.

The area was burnt in 2022 and now it was the right time to help nature regenerate with a variety of fire resistant, native tree species.

A big thank you to Mr. Gountoufas, Head of Greece’s Directorate of Forestry, who honored us with his presence and the overall collaboration of the forestry department of Greece, Mr. Kolovos, Forestry Director of Penteli and his staff and of course the Municipality of Penteli and Vice Mayor Mr. Zounis who came to plant with us.

2025 is going to be a great one.
