India is a great nation and a global leader. It is home to 1,4 billion people. The bad news is that it is the second most polluted country on the planet and the deforestation rate of the country is also the second highest worldwide. We4all India is addressing the most urgent environmental and humanitarian needs. See below our initiatives:
Helping nature while at the same time supporting underprivileged communities is the aim of this Green Hope Initiative. Our agroforestry projects currently are active in Maharashtra, Karanataka, Tamilnadu, MP Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. Small forests from trees bearing fruit, are making large spans of land resilient to climate change, desertification and are supporting local biodiversity. The yield from the trees provides work and food to the local farmers and their families.
Known as the “Slums” those areas are home to millions of people in India. Without access to education, or even basic commodities such as water, food, education, the children of those areas are forced into begging or worse and are cut off from the rest of the world. Our effort is to provide those children with basic education and support so that they can have a fair chance and a part in the world.
It is vital to raise environmental awareness for the new generation at an age where they are most open and receptive. Our school trainings are interactive and children learn about ways they can behave in a more responsible and sustainable way in their day to day living. Our training usually concludes with a school planting or another game of knowledge..
City forests act as a natural air filter and temperature adjuster. Their existence and reinforcement is an urgent necessity, especially in areas where development has not shown the respect that nature deserves. Utilizing Miyawaki method for dense forests, or simply planting more trees in the cities has multiple benefits for the people and life in general and is one of our main priorities for India. Starting from Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, our initiative aims to address all major population centers of the country.
Reforestation becomes a vital necessity to protect the habitats of wildlife and to preserve the natural treasures of India. With the second highest rate of deforestation globally, India is in urgent need of more trees. The species used are always native trees, suitable for the local ecosystem.
Join our efforts for cleaner neighborhoods, cleaner forests and coastlines. Under this initiative are all of our volunteer led activities to preserve the beauty, the well being and the sanitary conditions of neighborhoods and nature alike, at every corner of India.
