As much as this spoils the plans of some, with lightning movements, the Mayor of Vari-Voulas-Vouliagmenis Municipality of Varis-Voulas-Vouliagmenis Grigoris Konstantellos in collaboration with the Secretary General of Forests Mr. Arabosi Konstantinos and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Giorgos Amiras they managed in just 6 weeks to declare the 3,123 acres in Ymittos that were burned by the June 4 fire as reforestable.
This move is perhaps the fastest declaration of a reforested area in recent decades in our country, preserving the forest character of the area and excluding its availability for other use.
We greatly appreciate the fact that this Municipality chose We4All to collaborate in this forest regeneration effort.
