This Christmas, together with The Hellenic Initiative, we decided to make a gift of hope to the people of North Evia, who suffered great losses by the fires of 2021.
A major part of the island was burned to ashes and together with it, villages, homes, farms, forest. Hundreds of thousands of olive trees were destroyed, leaving the local producers without a means to survive, forcing them and their families to abandon their homes.
It became our mission to stand next to those people and, in a major operation of several weeks, we completed the delivery and planting of over 7.000 olive trees in the afflicted villages of North Evia.
The Helenic Initiative is the biggest non profit organization of Greeks and philhellenes of the diaspora that has embraced our vision for restoring the ecosystems and the damaged livelihoods of Greece. We are proud to have them next to us in this mission.
