From Ashes to Hope: How the CARE Program is Breathing New Life into the Seniors of Northern Evia

The wounds left behind by the destructive wildfires in Northern Evia remain vivid. Beyond the loss of the natural environment, the heaviest blow was dealt to the elderly, specifically farmers and beekeepers, who watched the efforts of a lifetime turn to ashes.

At an age when restarting feels like an insurmountable mountain, the loss of their familiar world transformed into a deep emotional trauma. At We4all, we believe that environmental restoration and human care go hand in hand. With the valuable support of the TIMA Charitable Foundation, we are implementing the CARE program (Citizens’ Action for Resilience & Empowerment of Seniors in Northern Evia).Through this initiative, we stand actively by the side of the region’s farmers and beekeepers from 65 years old and above empowring them with fruit trees and plants to help them replant their hopes in the land they loved, proving that creation has no age.

Looking to the Future with Optimism

Caring for nature simultaneously becomes caring for people. Together with the residents, local authorities and our team, we are on the ground to prove that  hope can take root once again. At We4all, we continue to stand by the citizens of Northern Evia, because every tree planted is not just a part of nature; it is a promise that tomorrow will be more hopeful and brighter.
