Actively participating in the fourth and final act of AstraZeneca Greece’s award-winning four-year environmental protection program entitled “Protecting the environment…with actions”, which had as its central message “Sharing knowledge”, we traveled to Attica, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Patras and Crete , we visited 23 schools and shared knowledge with 893 students.
The company strongly supported the action of our organization program “Green Future”, which integrated into its pillars and together we held a series of educational seminars for students regarding the environmental crisis our planet is going through and how to deal with it.
The action took place between May and November 2022, giving a total of 893 students the opportunity to get to know and love nature through experiential and participatory learning. Through interactive presentations that we carried out, the children were informed about the most important environmental problems of our time, but also about the simple, practical solutions that they can apply in their daily lives, in order to contribute to the reduction of the environmental burden. It is worth noting that during the trainings, volunteer employees of AstraZeneca participated with them in a symbolic tree planting in the school yard or in a pleasant interactive game on the theme of nature protection.
Just before we welcome the New Year, we can look forward with optimism as with this important partnership 893 children have pledged to be responsible citizens of this world and carry the message to as many people as they can.
