MESSAGE FROM WE4ALL

Our dear “family”,

one would expect that after last year’s disaster there would be much more prevention and mobilization to protect our forests. Instead, the destruction continues and the now criminal negligence of the competent authorities, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND NOT WHEN THE FIRE HAS ENTERED is obvious.

While as we4all our action was reforestation/tree planting and environmental education, we are now forced from this year to be active in PREVENTION, PROTECTION of our natural environment. Because as long as someone responsible does not bring an EFFECTIVE SOLUTION, we will try to do it in any way we can. We will not sit idly by and watch our world be destroyed.

The problem is not lack of money. The problem is 1) the lack of a legal framework that still favors trespassers and is not strict enough with arsonists 2) the backward mentality, stupidity and criminal ignorance that still plagues many of us and 3) all the political power games within the our country but also with our neighbors which may bring a heavy price on both sides.

No one wins when there is hatred, when there is war, declared or not, when the world remains ignorant. No one wins, except those for whom financial gain comes before Life and those who have a vested interest in keeping the world in despair.

We are having strategic discussions and research at multiple government and agency levels to see where we need to pick up this mess and begin to unravel it. You will see a lot in the coming months. But don’t forget, above all! You will be where the change begins. You will be the example. Be sure, that until the end, we will continue to strive for a better world.
